Great 8™
$24.99 – $89.99
Deer’s 8 Favorite food sources
Great 8™ is a fall annual food plot blend featuring eight specially selected seed varieties that mature at different times throughout the hunting season to help ensure your deer always have something good to eat. Great 8™ eliminates the guesswork of trying to figure out what to plant and is ideal for those who plant just one food plot. The winter peas, buckwheat and ryegrass will attract deer during bow season, while the radishes, turnips and forage rape attract deer during the rut. The winter oats and cereal rye mature from early bow season to late gun season and beyond. Great 8 can provide the protein and critical energy needed to sustain your deer herd well into the harsh, cold winter while also helping antler growth in the early spring season when other plants have yet to turn green. Great 8 keeps growing strong all hunting season long!
- Contains Winter Oats, Tetraploid Ryegrass, Winter Peas, Cereal Rye, Radish, Turnip, Forage Rape and Buckwheat
- Early fall to late winter food source
- High in protein and energy
- Proven high traffic

Jeff Osborne –
This made for a decent food plot.
It did grow and produce very well. BUT here are the cons
There are a lot of seeds in this mix that compete with each other. You really shouldn’t be planting the rye and oats with your brassica blends. The Brassicas grew up and were doing great until the rye and oats started taking off and then they just took over the whole plot. Again they are a good food source so its not like it was a weed but id did choke out my greens from the brassicas. I would recommend just planting a separate plot with one of their other Brassica blends and if you wanted rye or oats plant those on their own at a later date in the season.
Again it grew great but I would not recommend this mix as a cure all, keep your competing plant species separate in your plots and you will be much better off.

Thank you for reaching out to us about what you have seen, we appreciate the feed back, you are absolutely correct when it comes to competition and during all the testing we did with this mix we found it not to be an issue unless we over seeded the test plots with to much seed, now I’m not say that’s why you have seen the competition, this is just what we found

Was going to put in a small plot. Went to store only thing left was great 8. I purchased it. Planted the great 8. The deer mowed it down. Will get more this year.
