The all-season drought and cold tolerant blend Southern Greens includes multiple drought and cold tolerant plant varieties that are palatable from early bow season to late gun season. Powered by collard greens and radishes, this mix should provide a constant food source all season from the south and up to the north. The big brassica leaves produce tonnage and provide high amounts of protein and calcium. Both are palatable early due to lower tannin levels unlike other brassicas. Once frost occurs, the brassica turns into a sweet, high energy, all season food source. The fast-growing winter wheat and oat varieties are palatable from the time they emerge, well into spring. The clover will power up the following spring along with the established winter wheat and oats to give your herd the protein needed for body mass growth and does carrying fawns. Wherever Southern Greens is planted, it will provide the energy source your herd needs to endure the physical demands of the rut, stress of the cold winter months, and nutrition for spring antler growth and healthy fawn births. Directions for Use.

1.) Antler King®’s Southern Greens should be planted in the fall.

2.) Take a soil test to determine the pH level. If needed, apply enough lime to raise the pH level to a 6.0 to 6.5.

3.) Eliminate any existing weeds on the proposed plot, either by raking, mowing, disking or spraying with a contact weed killer, such as Roundup® {41% Glyphosate). Wait 7 days to plant after spraying with any weed killer.

4.) To maximize growth potential, spray Antler King®’s PLOT MAX™ on plot prior to working soil to help raise the pH, aerate the soil, increase organic matter, help with moisture retention and create an environment for the plants to thrive. Optimal results can be achieved by reapplying PLOT MAX™ in both spring and fall.

5.) One bag of Southern Greens will plant¼ acre (approx. 11,000 sq. ft.). Spread 75 lbs. of 19-19-19 fertilizer per¼ acre and till into the soil prior to planting.

6.) Plant Southern Greens seeds less than¼” deep. Good seed­ to-soil contact is always needed and best achieved by rolling or culti-packing the soil after seeding.

7.) After plants are 3 inches tall, spray with Antler King®’s JOLT™ FOLIAR FERTILIZER, which has been formulated to provide food for plant growth. Spray monthly for best results.
